B-cell antigen receptor

B-cell antigen receptor
(BCR)
A transmembrane immunoglobulin complex on the surface of a B-cell that binds an antigen and stimulates the B-cell. It is composed of a membrane-bound immunoglobulin, usually IgD or a modified IgM, complexed with another membrane protein (the Ig-a/Ig-b heterodimer).
